Epoche Your Mind
A campaign dedicated to mental health awareness and fostering resilience for transformative well-being.
Purpose
The "Epoche Your Mind" campaign, initiated by the TOECM Initiative, a capacity-building nonprofit and charity organization, is committed to ensuring that people give their minds the attention they truly deserve. This campaign is a tribute to mental health awareness and aims to carry forward the legacy of fostering mental resilience and well-being that has the power to transform lives.
For Onyedika, the president of the TOECM Initiative, the phrase "epoche your mind" holds deep personal meaning. During his adolescence, his late mother, who held a degree in Psychology, would often say these words to him during their conversations, encouraging him to pause, reflect, and broaden his perspective. Even though he didn't fully grasp the exact meaning of the phrase at the time, his mom's gestures often suggested that he should keep an open mind and embrace new ways of thinking. Those words, and her demeanor when she said them, left a lasting impact on him, guiding his approach to life and understanding of the world.
It wasn't until very recently, after his mother’s passing, that Onyedika decided to unravel the true meaning behind her words. Following her funeral, he dedicated himself to an intensive yet careful search that lasted for months. Finally, he uncovered the correct spelling and actual meaning of "epoche," realizing its origins in philosophical thought—a concept about suspending judgment and achieving clarity of mind. This discovery reinforced his commitment to honoring his mother’s wisdom and her legacy.
Despite not knowing the precise definition as a young man, Onyedika’s intuition that his mom's phrase implied broadening his mind was not far off from its true essence. This insight shaped his understanding of mental and emotional growth, inspiring him to use this knowledge to help others.
The "Epoche Your Mind" campaign seeks to inspire individuals to take a step back, embrace different perspectives, and prioritize their mental well-being. Through this initiative, the TOECM Initiative aims to cultivate a culture of open dialogue about emotional health, empowering people to care for their mental health and live balanced, fulfilling lives, all while continuing the legacy that Onyedika's mother began.

Implement a feedback mechanism to collect data from participants, partners, and the wider audience on the effectiveness of the campaign.
Use the data collected to refine and enhance the campaign strategy, ensuring it remains relevant, impactful, and aligned with its purpose.
6. Building Onyedika's Legacy
Honoring His Mother’s Legacy:
